Thanks to everyone who came along at the weekend to celebrate with us at our pre-Christmas parties in Glasgow and Edinburgh! We thoroughly enjoyed Deck the Halls with Owen and Olly, and it's been lovely to hear that you did too! We've had quite a few requests about the 12 Tunes of Christmas finale (we jam-packed 12 of the best seasonal songs into the tune of 12 Days of Christmas, complete with actions (courtesy of and copyrighted by Owen and Olly!) so we thought we'd lend a helping hand so you can remember it all (downloadable PDF available here)! It would make a wonderful after-dinner game on Christmas Day - get the whole family going and work off those mince pies! If you're particularly pleased with the family's efforts -

Over the past few days, we've realised that we've been showing up as sold out on the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall website, but this is a glitch - there are in fact plenty of tickets still available for both the 1pm and 3pm showings of Deck the Halls with Owen & Olly! Please also be careful to select tickets for the correct time as even when you click through our site for the 3pm - the online booking system on the concert hall's page defaults to 1pm. For 3pm, please click on the drop down arrow to select it! Seems as though the Grinch has been up to his usual tricks!!

Here at Children's Classic Concerts, we're thrilled to be a champion of the BBC's Ten Pieces initiative - a wonderful adventure dedicated to bringing some epic classical* music into the classroom and a whole load of fun too! It's all around us, but the Ten Pieces film, recorded with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, digs a little deeper into this genre of music and explores the sights conjured up, as well as the sounds by each composer - imagination is key! The film is perfect for primary age children and schools can request a free DVD copy whilst stocks last. There are lots of fantastic resources that follow on from the film to help your child/school get hands-on and creative with music, so please visit the BBC Ten Pieces website

Dust off your dancing shoes, prepare to come dressed in your freaky finest and grab your tickets* now! Check out the What's On page for booking info. Hope to see you there!*Please note that our concerts are recommended for children of primary school age, although we welcome everyone. Babes in arms up to the age of 12 months go free, tickets required for children aged 1+

We're well underway with plans for our new season concerts! The Monsters' Ball promises to be a fun-filled post Hallowe'en family adventure (Sat 1st and Sun 2nd November) featuring some top tunes and some funky dance moves - Dads get ready to embarrass the kids! As usual there'll be a costume competition with fab prizes up for grabs thanks to our friends at A1 Toys, so get your thinking caps on and get designing! Then we'll be celebrating Christmas early on Sat 6th and Sun 7th December with the ultimate Xmas party line up of rubbish jokes, carols and tinsel! Don't miss out on Deck the Halls with Owen & Olly (see what we did there?)!Today we're starting to un-pack our new season leaflets so we can spread the word!

There was lots of laughter, joining in (hundreds of folk in the audience came together to create a seriously impressive human drum-kit!) and top tunes on Saturday 26th July as Owen & Olly got everyone All Drummed Up for Glasgow 2014! Check out the photos on Facebook!
