East meets West

Owen and Olly set off on a global musical adventure meeting furry pandas, Wild West cowboys and African drummers on the way. With a world-class line-up of international musicians this high-energy whistle-stop tour had something for everyone, from the haunting sounds of a Chinese bamboo flute and the romantic strains of a Parisian accordion to the dramatic rhythms of the Argentinian tango and the toe-tapping tunes of a Scottish Ceilidh.

As always at Children's Classic Concerts there was fun for all the family with special surprises and lots of joining in. We went around the world in 60 minutes and no passports were required!

Supported by Creative Scotland.

  • Presented by Owen Gunnell and Oliver Cox

Savourna Stevenson - Clarsach, Eddie McGuire - Flute, Ian Watson - Accordion.

“[My favourite bits were] the Chinese music and the flute - and we loved the pandas! We also loved the drums that Owen and Olly played - they were very loud! The harp that the lady played sounded like a magic spell.”

Murray Robb, age 6
