Now that there’s a chill in the air and we’re feeling the Autumnal vibes, we can finally explain a bit more about Halloween with CCC…

While we’re very sad that a live concert won’t be possible and that we won’t be performing for an audience, we’ve not let it stop us. Our thinking caps have been switched on and rebooted behind the scenes to come up with a concept we hope you’ll agree, is imaginative and a bit different!

So, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re teaming up with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (a smaller ensemble than usual but with the same big impact) and RSNO Junior Chorus for spine-chilling performances in our ghost-busting family filmThe Haunted Concert Hall.

The film premieres on, you guessed it – Halloween!
From 2pm on Saturday 31 October we invite you to join us for the celebrations.
The film will first appear then and be available to stream for FREE (you better boolieve it!) via our:

  • Website
  • YouTube channel
  • Facebook page

It’ll stay online for 30 days so you can play it back as many times as you like before it vanishes!
We’d love it if you could spread the word and get your friends and family watching all over the UK – give yourselves a shout out on social media and let us know where you’re at. Can we stretch from Shetland to Cornwall?!

The Haunted Concert Hall is completely free to steam. However, if you feel able to support CCC with a donation of any size, we would really appreciate the help, as a non-profit charity (SC022841).Especially under the circumstances we all find ourselves in, we feel a duty to provide some continuity and entertainment for our family audience, as well as a responsibility to look out for the welfare of musicians and artists across our sector. Donations can be made once the film is released by text message – details to follow. Thank you

Stepping outside of the box, exploring multi-dimensional presentation and going digital has really been exciting and we’re discovering every day that new possibilities are opening up to us. For starters, we can reach CCC fans more widely and inclusively than ever before (remember to tell your mates!)It’s blowing our minds a little that we get to bring the CCC experience to you at home – be sure to reserve your space on the sofa (or behind it), whichever corner of the country you happen to be in.

We’re also so pleased to be able to support a beloved CCC venue  the Caird Hall in Dundee. The question is, what’s happened behind closed doors over the past 6 months? Is all as it seems? Owen’s getting ready to dust off the cobwebs, walk the eerily empty backstage corridors, unpack his percussion gear and find out!

There’s plenty to look forward to:

? Get in the spirit with CCC’s Costume Competition (which comes with a fab prize – to be revealed during the launch on Facebook!) and create your own watch party – look out for an upcoming blog post with tips for throwing a virtual celebration. Never fear, you can still share some spooky music with family and friends and enjoy the Halloween weekend.

? Lights camera, animation – will you get a glimpse of your goblin picture? The team at the University of the West of Scotland are already hard at work. Thanks so much to everyone who entered our recent drawing competition, we loved every entry and a selection has been chosen for the film. Watching your drawings come to life has fast become a highlight of our Halloween concerts.

? Check out our social media feeds for plenty of fun and some antics from Owen during the countdown!

? Find the programme with insider info plus a quirky quiz online so you don’t miss out on any of the action.

Let’s do Halloween 2020!
