Spring into Nature with our latest Music Sparks activity
With Spring in the air and a chance to get outside we are really excited to release the next activity in our Music Sparks series. This one is close to our hearts and created with all the grandparents missing their grandchildren, as well as friends and neighbours, in mind. At CCC, we believe that music, art and nature make things that bit better and we’d like to help you stay connected, both now when interaction is limited and later in the year when we can meet in person.
You can find our step-by-step activity pack featuring fun films, all rooted in nature, right here: Acorns to Oaks Activity Pack or visit our dedicated Acorns to Oaks page. There’s loads to join in with – play games, get crafty, go on a sounds hunt, start a garden samba band, sing songs, write your own and listen to a CCC concert!
In addition to it being a great activity to do at home with the family we’ve designed Acorns to Oaks for:
? Early Years settings and Primary Schools looking to promote outdoor play
? Care home residents to be able to connect with family, reducing feelings of isolation
? Supporting mental health and well-being
? Flexibility – there isn’t a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach for participating, so our suggestions can be adapted to suit (e.g., it can be virtual/online, or in-person/offline) and no previous musical experience or instruments/materials are necessary!
Here’s a short introductory film to get you going and please keep in touch and let us know what you have created!
Many thanks to Creative Scotland for their support.
