Get ready for our first concerts of 2023…
It’s February! How did that happen?! It’s time to crawl out of hibernation and start looking forward to the musical adventures we have planned for the next two months. We’ll be travelling around Scotland: from Inverness, to Edinburgh, via Giffnock, and then up to Aberdeen and Dundee. So there really is something for everyone!
Let’s tell you a bit more about what you can look forward to…First up…
We had a fantastic concert in Eden Court last year with the ‘Wonderland’ spin-off ‘The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party’, so we’re really excited to perform with our very own Essential Orchestra this year – and at the venue’s Empire Theatre!
As you know, we’re rather familiar with Edinburgh’s Usher Hall – we’ve had many a fantastic concert there – but we’ve never been with the Essential Orchestra. So come along and hop down the rabbit hole with us!
We’re delighted to be taking our concert featuring CCC’s Wind Ensemble to Eastwood Park Theatre in Giffnock this March. Last year we sailed Peter and his band of trusty musical friends across the North Sea to Shetland, which was a rather fabulous adventure. This year, in addition to the concert, we’re also offering you the opportunity to get even closer to the action, and join us in a workshop with the musicians. You can find out the difference between a clarinet and oboe, and how much puff does it actually take to play a French horn? You may even be inspired to start your own musical adventure…Book your tickets for the concert and workshop here.
“The animal I really dig, above all others is the pig.” Yes, we’re celebrating the trio of (rather questionable!) housebuilding pigs, and many other characters from Roald Dahl’s much-loved stories, with rather splendiferous concerts in Aberdeen and Dundee in March.
This phizz-whizzing performance by CCC’s Essential Orchestra, will feature a concert version of the author’s Revolting Rhymes poem for orchestra and narrator. Come and see if Red Riding Hood and the pigs will outwit the nasty wolf, and there may even be special appearances from a certain Big Friendly Giant and a Mr W Wonka…Grab your golden tickets now.
