Join Django and his band of musicians on an adventure to discover Gypsy Jazz…

CCC would like to invite you on a captivating journey to explore how gypsy jazz began…with our favourite feline friend, Django! In this, the film version of our popular concert, ‘Django’s Journey’, you will join Owen and the award-winning songstress and fiddler, Seonaid Aitken, and her band, Rose Room, for a jazz-pedition like no other.

Django the Cat, (fabulously brought to life by puppeteer Ella Mackay from Nudge Puppets) will tell us all about his travels: from the vibrant colours of India, to the pyramids of Egypt, through the countryside of Eastern Europe and cobbled streets of Spain and France.

Featuring music from Duke Ellington, Chick Corea, and of course, Django Reinhardt himself, this top-tapping film is perfect for 4–12-year-olds and their families and is sure to have everyone (whether they are 4 or 94) up and dancing. Maybe at the end of the film you’ll realise that everybody wants to be a cat…!

‘Django’s Journey’ has been produced with children in mind – whether in the school classroom or at home. If you click on the relevant link below to let us know where you’re watching it, we’ll send you all the information for how to view it.
