We're well underway with plans for our new season concerts! The Monsters' Ball promises to be a fun-filled post Hallowe'en family adventure (Sat 1st and Sun 2nd November) featuring some top tunes and some funky dance moves - Dads get ready to embarrass the kids! As usual there'll be a costume competition with fab prizes up for grabs thanks to our friends at A1 Toys, so get your thinking caps on and get designing! Then we'll be celebrating Christmas early on Sat 6th and Sun 7th December with the ultimate Xmas party line up of rubbish jokes, carols and tinsel! Don't miss out on Deck the Halls with Owen & Olly (see what we did there?)!Today we're starting to un-pack our new season leaflets so we can spread the word!

There was lots of laughter, joining in (hundreds of folk in the audience came together to create a seriously impressive human drum-kit!) and top tunes on Saturday 26th July as Owen & Olly got everyone All Drummed Up for Glasgow 2014! Check out the photos on Facebook!

Out and about in Glasgow during the Games? Fancy soaking up the friendly atmosphere for FREE? Then why not come and see why our lovely lads Owen & Olly have been twice-voted the best music act at the Edinburgh Fringe and why our young All Drummed Up group reduced their audiences to tears and got everyone up standing at our Going for Gold concerts back in May!* Their latest show-stopper - All Drummed Up

Our very own Olly Cox (forget Murs!) has written a wonderfully inspirational song called 'We Can Fly!' which featured in our Commonwealth-themed Celebration Concert, Going For Gold in Glasgow and Dundee back in May.The great news is, there's another opportunity to hear it as part of the Kelvingrove Banstand Festival 2014 Programme! Make sure Saturday 26th July is in your diary!!Owen & Olly will be joined by their percussion pals from CCC's after-school music project in Drumchapel, together with pre-junior students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland for another spine-tingling and tear-enducing performance. This will be the finale to another fantastic concert (called All Drummed Up

Here's what Garry Fraser at the Dundee Courier had to say about the Going for Gold concert at the Caird Hall!"Although Dundee will play no part in the forthcoming Commonwealth Games, the combined forces of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, regional choirs from the National Youth Choir of Scotland and Children’s Classic Concerts presented a musical games-themed extravaganza that was as vibrant as a 100 metre sprint, colourful as an opening parade and as enjoyable as a Scottish gold medal. There was a distinct buzz about the Caird Hall with the orchestra bedecked in a variety of sports wear – even conductor Christopher Bell – and with the fun and games orchestrated by presenters Owen Gunnell and Oliver Cox, it was one hour of family fun. Our budding young musicians have been drumming up a storm in Drumchapel, with one aim – to Go for Gold! For the fourth year running, we’ve teamed up with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to deliver after-school musical mayhem in the form of percussion project ‘All Drummed Up!’ Participants have had the chance to make new pals, dance to some beats and have a bash on a range of instruments, exploring African and South American drumming traditions. Thanks to support from Glasgow City Council’s Community Planning Partnership Fund, the usual weekly sessions (held at Stonedyke Neighbourhood Centre from January to March) offered access to fun and games for free. The dynamic drummers were never shy of self-expression or short of team spirit! The great news is it’s 2014: the project is bigger and
