Thank you to everyone who came to one of our concerts on tour this spring in New Galloway, Stirling, Dunfermline, Perth, Dundee, Elgin, Greenock and Galashiels! We had a brilliant time showcasing our latest Fiddlesticks programme, which featured top tunes from classical to ceilidh, and of course another round of Junk Trunk concerts - which meant we could get creative with the recycling again and experiment with some really cool sounds using everyday stuff at home! We hope you enjoyed the concerts as much as we did planning them! Watch this space for the latest news about our upcoming 2015-16 season concerts with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO)! TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE NOW for Magic and Monsters and Owen and Olly's Christmas Stocking! Here's a very sneeky preview

With support from Moray Music Centre (MMC) and Creative Scotland, our professional team of musicians (Owen, Olly, Savourna Stevenson - also an inspirational composer, and The Fejes String Quartet) will deliver an original workshop for members of MMC’s Junior String Orchestra next Monday (9th March) ahead of the Fiddlesticks concert! They’ll be bringing Savourna’s setting of Hans Christian Anderson’s story, The Snow Queen to life - a fantastic chance to learn about how musical sounds are built up to create atmospheric and thrilling music. The young people can let their imaginations run wild and will be making a real contribution to Savourna’s existing score; the workshop experience will be made all the more meaningful by their involvement and performance in the concert.Children’s Classic Concerts presenter Owen Gunnell: “Really looking

Our lovely lads Owen and Olly are geared up for another showstopper of a concert called Fiddlesticks - this time exploring violins and vibraphones, clarsachs and cowbells and basses of both the drum and string variety! They'll be joined by their brilliant pals in The Fejes Quartet (who also play for The Royal Scottish National Orchestra) and inspirational composer and virtuoso performer, Savourna Stevenson to bring you an epic fusion of jolly jazz, calming classical and Scottish folk music (i.e. toe-tapping tunes!)As always, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to get involved! Thanks to everyone who came along at the weekend to celebrate with us at our pre-Christmas parties in Glasgow and Edinburgh! We thoroughly enjoyed Deck the Halls with Owen and Olly, and it's been lovely to hear that you did too! We've had quite a few requests about the 12 Tunes of Christmas finale (we jam-packed 12 of the best seasonal songs into the tune of 12 Days of Christmas, complete with actions (courtesy of and copyrighted by Owen and Olly!) so we thought we'd lend a helping hand so you can remember it all (downloadable PDF available here)! It would make a wonderful after-dinner game on Christmas Day - get the whole family going and work off those mince pies! If you're particularly pleased with the family's efforts -

Over the past few days, we've realised that we've been showing up as sold out on the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall website, but this is a glitch - there are in fact plenty of tickets still available for both the 1pm and 3pm showings of Deck the Halls with Owen & Olly! Please also be careful to select tickets for the correct time as even when you click through our site for the 3pm - the online booking system on the concert hall's page defaults to 1pm. For 3pm, please click on the drop down arrow to select it! Seems as though the Grinch has been up to his usual tricks!!
