Databases and/or Mailing Lists

If you are on our database or email list (managed through MailChimp), we may store your:

  • Landline or mobile number
  • Physical address
  • Postcode

This data helps us to:

  • Keep you informed about CCC’s news and updates
  • Analyse data by postcode, either in-house or via third-party services, helping us better understand our audience and donors.

 If You Make a Donation

In addition to the data listed above, if you donate, we will also:

  • Record the donation amount, method, and date
  • Keep a record if your donation is eligible for Gift Aid, and submit your full name, house number, and postcode to HMRC as part of our annual Gift Aid claim in line with UK law
  • Recognize your support by displaying your name in our programmes, brochures, and website (you can opt to remain anonymous)
  • Send you a thank you and updates about our future work.

 Attending an Event

If you buy tickets through a venue’s Box Office, you may be asked to share your personal information with us. If you agree, we will add your name, address, postcode, and email to our database for future updates on CCC activities.

 Audience Feedback

We occasionally send out anonymous electronic surveys (via Microsoft Forms) to gather audience feedback. Survey responses are stored securely (via Microsoft SharePoint) and may be shared with CCC staff, musicians, board members, and funders as part of our reporting process.

Our website may automatically collect certain technical details, including:

  • An anonymized version of your IP address, browser type, and operating system
  • Anonymous data about your visit, such as pages viewed, visit duration, and any download errors encountered.

Photos and Videos

CCC may capture photos or videos at events, which could include audience members. We will notify you with posters at the venue and, where possible, request your consent through a written release. Any footage may be shared on platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and X.

Your information is stored securely on an encrypted, password-protected database. 

Data Retention

We will retain your data only as long as necessary. If you request us to stop processing your data, we will do so immediately. 

Access to Your Data

CCC staff can access your data in accordance with our Data Policy. In some cases, we may share your data with third parties for analysis, but they will not use it for marketing purposes. You may request that we stop sharing your data for such purposes.
