Our aim at CCC is to introduce young people and their families to orchestral music, to inspire them and share our passion. We love to create concerts that explore traditional classical repertoire, but we also love to showcase and promote new talent. We are fortunate enough to be performing the Scottish premiere of a movement from the young award-winning composer, Aileen Sweeney's, Percussion Concerto as part of our 'Out of this World' concert. Aileen is a Scottish composer, accordionist and arranger based in Glasgow and enjoys a varied career as a freelance musician. Her music is cross-genre, infused with the ornamentation, energy and colours of the Scottish folk music she grew up playing learning the accordion. Her music is often influenced by nature and folklore, as well as finding inspiration in current social and political affairs she is passionate about such as climate change, equality and politics. We were lucky enough to catch up with Aileen and chat to her

We're so lucky here at CCC as we get to work with some incredibly talented people. From musicians and composers, to graphic designers and prop builders - it's always exciting to see what magic comes from these creative collaborations. One performer we have had the pleasure of working with on several concerts is Ryan Ferrie, and we thought it was about time you learned some more about him, so read on

For those of you who have been to one of our concerts recently, you may have noticed some of the CCC team after the performance lurking around the foyers trying to grab people to hear some feedback. We want to say a massive THANK YOU to those of you who took the time to talk to us. It's been amazing to speak to you - and the children - to hear what you think about the concerts, and it's incredibly helpful for us to get some feedback on how you want us to develop in the future. We've have some really terrific comments which we wanted to share with you: For those of you who just can't manage a chat at the end of the concert (let's be honest, sometimes with little children you just want to get out the door and get home!) we also give you a link to the online feedback form on our programmes, which

It’s February! How did that happen?! It’s time to crawl out of hibernation and start looking forward to the musical adventures we have planned for the next two months. Let’s tell you a bit more about what you can look forward to…First up
